PATAGONIA ITINERARY: Argentina and Chile
 

March 10 Friday: Arrival in Argentina in Buenos Aires

Arrive at Ministro Pistarini International Airport (IATA: EZE), commonly known as Ezeiza International Airport. [1] and transfer to your boutique hotel in Palermo or San Telmo (tba).

Suggested Experiences: Neighborhood walk to get oriented.

5:30 pm (option): 45-min Grounding yoga stretch session to ease jet lag.

7:00 pm Dinner at an agreed place (pay your own)

March 11 Sat:  Buenos Aires Day and Tango Dinner

Breakfast and Dinner

Morning walking tour through historic Plaza de Mayo, La Boca, and San Telmo, with café stops and stories of immigration, tango, and Argentina’s modern history.

Lunch on your own.

7:00 pm Evening tango show and dinner, with the option to join a beginner class if the group is keen.

 

Prepare for the next day's departure for Patagonia

March 12 Sun: Fly to El Calafate, Argentina

Breakfast and Traditional Argentinian Dinner 

Morning flight from Buenos Aires to El Calafate for the Los Glaciares National Park. 

Arrival, Airport Pick Up, and Check in at TBA.

Lunch yours.

Suggested Experiences:

- Afternoon visit to the Glaciarium ice museum and viewpoint to understand Patagonian ice fields and climate.

- Sunset lakeside walk and gentle yoga focusing on grounding and breath in the Patagonian wind.

March 13 - 15 Mon to Wed:  Nature Adventures & Estancia Stay

Breakfast and Lunch and Dinner

An estancia is a large rural estate or cattle ranch. Traditionally dedicated to livestock grazing and farming, many of these historic estates now operate as rural retreats, boutique stays, offering visitors horseback riding, gaucho culture, and hearty farm-to-table dining.

 

Full days of excursions but choose your pace style from moderate to more challenging style.

Boat navigation along the glacier face to experience ice walls calving into the turquoise water (conditions permitting).

March 15: Free Day

Suggested Experiences: Lago Argentino, Estancia Activities, Walks & Hikes Around Town  

1) Navigation & Moderate Walks: Boat Trip on Lago Argentino to view other glaciers and dramatic mountain scenery, with truly scenic stops and short walks.

2) Estancia Day: Spend the Day at our Traditional Estancia with light Hiking, Horse Riding, Sheep Shearing, and stories of frontier life of the gaucho culture.

3) Visit the Town for Local Culture and Eats:

- Café time, Photography, and Local Artisan Markets

- Walichu Caves is a short drive outside town feature ancient indigenous rock paintings and sweeping views over the lake

6:00 pm (Option) Restorative Yoga to Unwind 

Prepare for next day's departure for Chile.

March 16 Thurs: Cross into Chile

Breakfast and Lunch

Overland transfer from El Calafate to Puerto Natales, following a route commonly used on cross‑border Patagonia itineraries.

- Scenic stops at the border and along the pampas, with a picnic lunch and short stretching breaks.

- Evening arrival in Puerto Natales, a colorful harbor town and gateway to Torres del Paine National Park.

March 17 - 18 Fri to Sat: Full-Day Tours

Breakfast and Lunch 

Guided Tours of Torres del Paine National Park with scenic stops at Lago Nordenskjöld, Salto Grande, and various miradores, with optional moderate hikes for closer views of the Cuernos del Paine or French Valley overlooks (conditions and group level permitting).

March 19 Sun: Free Day with Farewell Dinner

How To Get To Easter Island: 

We will take a direct commercial flight from Santiago International Airport (SCL) to Mataveri International Airport (IPC) on the island.  Flights take about 5 to 5.5 hours and are exclusively operated by LATAM Airlines

March 22 Tue to March 24 Wed: Easter Island 

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are included.

  •  A Coastal Walk near Hanga Roa to see your first moai and tune into the island’s volcanic landscape.

  • Guided visit to key sites such as Rano Raraku (the quarry where moai were carved) and Ahu Tongariki, the iconic row of 15 restored statues facing inland

  • Cultural session with a local Rapa Nui guide about language, traditions, and contemporary life on the island.

  • Enjoy Traditional Polynesian Culture - Experience the local heritage by attending a traditional dinner and dance show (like Ballet Kari Kari), featuring authentic island music and vibrant costumes.

You will have time to: relax at its beaches, swim or snorkel

March 25: Return to Santiago and Onward Flights

Pricing Structure:

Double Occupancy / Shared Room Total Cost: $ 10,600.00 (inclusive of applicable taxes and required deposits)
Cost per Participant: $ 5,300.00

 

Double occupancy accommodations are limited to a maximum of two (2) participants per room. Participants sharing a room will share the total accommodation cost for ten (10) nights and eleven (11) days. Bedding configurations may include one king, one queen, or two twin beds, subject to availability.

Each participant is individually responsible for all additional costs, including but not limited to:

  • Tours, excursions, and activities

  • Ground transportation and transfers

  • Entrance fees, permits, and event tickets

 

Participants electing double occupancy must arrange their own roommate. Cultural Wanderer does not guarantee roommate placement or matching.

Single Occupancy Total Cost: $ 6,780.00

Single occupancy accommodations are designated for one (1) participant per room. The participant is solely responsible for the full cost of accommodations for eight (8) nights and nine (9) days, including breakfast where applicable.

 

The participant is also individually responsible for:

  • All transportation costs (including airport transfers and domestic travel)

  • Tours, excursions, and activities

  • Entrance fees and event tickets

Payment Terms and Conditions

  • A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 per participant is required to secure participation.

  • The remaining balance is due on September 1, 2027 and is non-refundable.

  • Full payment must be completed no later than September 1, 2027. All payments are non-refundable after this date.

If cancellation occurs on or after September 1, 2027, one hundred percent (100%) of the total trip cost will be forfeited, regardless of reason.

Please note: Payments made by credit card may be subject to additional processing fees.

Important Notes
 

  • Participants are solely responsible for ensuring they possess valid passports, visas, and any other required travel documentation.

  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended and must be submitted prior to departure.

  • Cultural Wanderer strongly advises participants to review all health, safety, and entry requirements for Tanzania and Rwanda prior to travel.

Changes and Cancellations by Organizer

Cultural Wanderer / Hegina A. Fuller reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary, accommodations, transportation, or scheduled activities as deemed necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, safety considerations, or operational requirements.

In the unlikely event that Cultural Wanderer cancels the trip, a refund will be issued in an amount deemed appropriate, less any non-recoverable expenses already incurred.

The following items are not included in the package price:

  • International airfare (referrals available upon request)

  • Passport, visas, and required travel documentation

  • Travel insurance (mandatory recommendation)

  • Meals, snacks, and beverages not specified in the itinerary

  • Transportation outside of scheduled tours and excursions

  • Entrance fees and tickets not explicitly listed in the itinerary

  • Gratuities and tips for guides, drivers, and service providers

  • Optional activities, including but not limited to spa services, massages, and personal experiences
